Our Story
In 1999, Pat Carr, Air Force Captain, came up with the concept of utilizing artificial turf for wildlife habitat modification to reduce bird strikes around runways. Realizing how the product could address a myriad of safety and erosion control issues on the airfield, Carr sought out artificial turf industry experts who, together, designed a system that eventually led to 7 patents for aviation artificial turf. The product testing process was the most extensive ever accomplished in the artificial turf industry. In December of 2000 the first ever aviation grade artificial turf was installed at Midway Airport in Chicago. Today, they continue to provide emergency surfacing solutions to public and private facilities worldwide.
