Infrastructure Advisory

BUILD AVIATION INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WORKS IN THE REAL WORLD.

Helipads, heliports, vertiports, hangars and facilities must function as complete operating systems. Aviation Turf helps owners and public agencies move from concept to practical implementation by connecting site planning, aviation operations, fire protection, emergency response, security, stakeholder acceptance and long term value.

Infrastructure Advisory Services

Feasibility and needs assessment. Define the operational mission, anticipated users, aircraft types, demand, community value, constraints, preliminary costs and decision criteria.

Site and operational concept review. Evaluate access, surrounding land uses, emergency response, security, ground movement, passenger flow, support functions and integration with existing facilities.

Helipad and heliport advisory. Support planning for public, private, hospital, corporate and public-safety facilities, including operational requirements and coordination with qualified design professionals.

Vertiport and advanced air mobility readiness. Help communities, developers and property owners evaluate emerging eVTOL opportunities without committing prematurely to unproven demand or infrastructure.

Fire protection and suppression systems. Evaluate and coordinate fire sprinkler, fire alarm, detection and special-hazard suppression requirements as integral parts of aviation and facility infrastructure. Planning can address aircraft hangars, maintenance operations, fueling areas, GSE facilities, water supply, fire flow, emergency access and system modernization.

eVTOL and battery-fire readiness. Incorporate lithium-ion battery charging and storage safeguards, early detection, aircraft isolation, thermal-event response, water supply, runoff and containment considerations, fire department access and post-incident procedures into emerging aviation facilities.

Fire-protection project coordination. Connect owners, facility users, fire departments, code officials, insurers, architects, engineers and qualified fire-protection contractors. Support scope development, procurement, operational coordination, inspections, testing, maintenance planning and project oversight.

Aviation surface and artificial turf advisory. Draw on pioneering aviation-turf experience to assess specialized surface applications, performance objectives, installation considerations, maintenance and product-development opportunities.

Stakeholder and community strategy. Prepare decision-makers to address safety, noise, land use, fiscal responsibility, public benefit and community concerns with credible information.

Public safety and emergency-response integration. Incorporate fire, EMS, police, dispatch, emergency management, access control and incident-command needs at the planning stage.

Owner’s representative and project coordination. Help translate operational needs among owners, engineers, architects, regulators, vendors, operators and government agencies.

Funding, phasing and implementation strategy. Develop practical project phases, partnership concepts, procurement considerations and performance measures.

Who We Support

Municipalities, airports, hospitals, developers, property owners, public safety agencies, hangar operators, maintenance facilities, aviation businesses and companies developing advanced aviation infrastructure.

The Value

  • Operational needs represented before design decisions become expensive
  • Stronger alignment among owners, regulators, designers and responders
  • Fire protection systems integrated with facility operations and emergency-response plans
  • A disciplined approach to new aviation and eVTOL opportunities
  • Infrastructure positioned for safety, usefulness and long term public value

How Engagements Work

Aviation Turf can lead an early stage workshop, perform an independent concept review or remain engaged as an owner’s advisor through planning and implementation. Our role is to ensure that aviation operations, infrastructure, fire protection and emergency response are planned as one coordinated system. Fire-protection engineering, permitting, installation, inspection and certification are performed by properly licensed and qualified professionals.
